Comed-K UGET 2008 for Medical, Dental and Engineering courses will be conducted on May 4, at different centres. This year, Comed-K has introduced English paper for the entrance test in addition to other four papers - Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.
Physics and Chemistry (combined) paper will be held in the morning followed by remaining papers. Each paper including English will carry 60 marks. The combined paper will be held for two hours and the remaining papers will be held for one hour each. The candidates of GM category should have eligibility of 50 %  in English and 40%  for SC/ST to be eligible for medical and dental rankings. After the candidates get eligibility percentage, their ranks would be announced. However, only  the marks of  Physics,Chemistry, Biology  will be considered for the ranking. This decision has been taken into consideration after consultation with Medical Council of India (MCI) and Dental Council of India (DCI).However, candidates aspiring to study engineering courses need not have to write the English paper.
