Trekking camp

The Wanderers, an adventure club is organising  a two day trekking programme to Kudremukh on December 22 and 23. Located in the Western Ghats, in the district of Chikmagalur, the altitude of the range varies from 120 to 1892 m, the highest point being the Kudremukh peak. The trek offers a number of scenic places alongside a mixed terrain of Chola forests and flat grasslands. Three important rivers, the Tunga, the Bhadra and the Nethravathi are said to have their origin here. The Kudremukh National is the largest declared Wildlife Protected Area (600 sq km) of a tropical wet evergreen type of forest in the Western Ghats. Art of living

The Art of Living Foundation is having a special morning of celebrations with Swami Pragayapad on December16 from 6.30 am to 9.30 am at the New Horizon School, 100 feet road, Indiranagar. There will be a Mega Sudarshan Kriya from 6.30 am to 7.30 am for those who have done part 1 course. From 7.30 am to 9.30 am, it is open to all. The Foundation is also conducting a Sri Sri Yoga course from December 18 to December 23 at Airforce Command Hospital, Airport Road. The timings are from 6 to 8 am and 6.30 to 8.30 pm. Animation Habba

The Arena Animation Academy, Jayanagar, is hosting a ‘Animation Habba’ to mark its 12th anniversary on December 23. To commemorate the occasion, a function has been organised at H N Kalakshetra from 10 am to 6 pm. An important part of the programme includes students dispalying their projects.
