Man done to death
DH News Service,Bangalore:

A man was hacked to death by a gang at Kalappa Circle, in Banaswadi police station limits, on Wednesday. The deceased has been identified as Zakia (26), a resident of Banaswadi.
According to the police, Zakia was returning home when the gang, which lay in wait, attacked him Zakia with lethal weapons and left him in a pool of blood. Old rivalry is said to be the motive.
Burglary plot foiled
Basavanagudi police arrested two persons on charges of planning burglaries in and around Bugle Park and recovered lethal weapons, two cellphones and an autorickshaw. They are: Harish Krishnamurthy (22), a resident of KG Nagar, and Manjunath Anjanappa (20), of Chamarajpet.
Leather store looted
Goods worth Rs 2 lakh were stolen from a leather shop in Peenya IV Stage on Wednesday night. According to the police, the door locks had been broken open.
A search has been launched to trace the culprits, said the police.
