Youth awards
Chikkaballapur, dhns: Department of Youth and Sports has invited applications from young men and women for Youth award. Youth who have rendered outstanding service in different fields can apply for the award.
The application can be submitted personally by the youths and  also through institutions. The filled applications should be submitted to the Assistant Director, Department of Youth and Sports, Chikkaballapur on or before December 15.

Recitation contest
Chikkaballapur, dhns: Oral recital of Bhagavad Geeta and Lakshminarayana dress competition has been arranged by the Vishnupriya Education Trust on December 20.

The 10th annual competition has been organised at the premises of the schools in Hosahudya.

Yuva Jana Mela
Bangarpet, dhns:  The taluk-level Yuva Jana Mela for the year 2007-08 will be held on December 15 at Government Girls Higher primary school in the city, said Physical Education Coordinator Belavatige.
The Mela has been organised by Department of Youth and Sports. Already registered associations of the youths can register their names, he added.

Participants in the age group of 15-35 are eligible to take part in the competition. Participants can show their singing talent in light music, Rangageete, Folk songs, Gegepada, Laavani, Kolata, Bhajan, Mono-acting and others. The competitions will begin at 11 am on the December 15.
