Book festival

The Strand Book Festival at Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium on M G Road in halls through gates 17, 18 0n Link road from December 14 to 30 from 10 am to 8.30 pm. Over 40,000 amazing titles for adults and children in all categories including fiction, literature, philosophy, management, self-help, health, popular science, environment, history, art, architecture, design, photography, travel, cookery, crafts, sports and children.

Sound and light show

The Wesley English Church Sunday School is staging a sound and light show at 7 pm on December 16 at the Wesley English Church, Promenade Road (opposite Coles Park).

The show deals with the essence of Christmas and attempts to strip away the commercial, glitter and hype surrounding the festival. 

It attempts to bring the actual event — the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem.

The play is written by Kenny Elisha and the music has been composed and directed by Herbert Paul.
