Our sons are innocent: Parents
New Delhi, DHNS and Agencies:
The parents of one of the two teenagers accused in the Gurgaon school shooting incident surfaced on Thursday, claiming their son to be innocent. They also said that they did not have any firearms in their possession...

The father of the other accused - Azad Yadav - against whom a case has been registered under the arms act for alleged negligence is still absconding. The gun of Yadav was used in the murder.

“Our child is innocent. We do not have a revolver or any other firearm. I am a responsible person," said the father of the teenager who allegedly shot Class VIII student Abhishek Tyagi of Euro International School here.

Another student had allegedly fired four shots at the victim. “We are sad about the boy who was killed...I was shocked when I heard about the incident. I do not believe that my son did it,” he told NDTV. He claimed he was at his farm in Rajasthan at the time of the shooting and denied reports that he was a property dealer. “They might have fought. But we never had any information about it. The school authorities never informed us about anything,” he claimed. The teenager’s mother claimed that he was being framed and that the family came to know about the incident only from the school bus driver.

“As I could not find him in the bus, I asked the driver who told me that he was involved in this incident. School authorities did not even bother to inform us. Why didn’t they inform us that our child was involved in such an act?” the mother asked. She said none of his friends used to visit him at his house and he would tell her about everything that happened in school.

The mother claimed that she sent the boy’s uncles to the police station to enquire about the case as the father was away in Rajasthan at the time of the incident. “But the police never called us,” she claimed.
