Modis development is farce: Sonia
DH News Service,Ahmedabad:
AICC president Sonia Gandhi lashed out at the Narendra Modi government in Gujarat on Thursday claiming that the mask of development cracked exposing the real face as the campaign for Assembly elections in Gujarat progressed.

Ms Gandhi addressed rallies in Patan and Dabhoi before landing in Ahmedabad to address a sizable crowd at the Sardar Patel stadium here. She was apparently speaking about the abrupt shift from the development plank to Sohrabuddin Shaikh by Modi during the heat of the campaign.
Drawing a distinction between the Congress and BJP, she claimed that the difference between the two parties is evident in what each party had said during the election campaign.
“They do not have truth on their side. Khote sikke ucchalte hain aur logon ko gumrah karte hain (they create illusions and mislead people). There is no parallel to the hollow and false promises that they (Narendra Modi) make to people,” she claimed without naming the Gujarat chief minister.
The AICC president claimed that the veneer of the BJP on the terrorism front has also cracked alleging that the terrorist that the NDA government took by plane to Afghanistan and released was responsible for the attack on the Indian Parliament. She claimed that she was proud of being in a party whose leaders, late Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi, laid down their lives while combating terrorism.

MODI DARES PM

Ahmedabad, pti: Continuing his attack on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for promising to reopen some post-Godhra riot cases, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday night dared him to take action against him.
“The Prime Minister is trying to threaten us that if Congress comes to power all the post Godhra riot cases will be reopened and those involved in it will be punished. Do not try to threaten Gujarat,” Modi said while addressing an election rally at the communally sensitive locality of Dairapur here.
“You (Congress) are running the central government for the last four years. If you have the guts, you can do whatever you want with me. You still have time till December 23 the date of counting of ballot papers,” he said.
