Each of you could become little angels helping Santa Clause to spread joy and happiness...
As the season of Christmas draws near all you children must be trying to guess what you will get for Christmas.
Here is a suggestion - instead of asking what you will get this season ask what you can do for others. After all Christmas is the season of happiness and good cheer. When you think of some one else’s happiness you will receive a lot more in return.
Long long ago a man named Nicolas in Germany, during the Christmas season went looking for people in need and helped them in what ever way he could. In the Christmas season Germany becomes very cold and poor people could die if they did not have enough to eat and warm cloths to wear. Later after he died people remembered him as St. Nicolas and shared gifts to continue the good work he had started.
Each of you could become little angels helping Santa Clause to spread joy and happiness. Help out a friend in need, not necessarily only your friends but people who need help. you could ask your parents to suggest ways in which you could help them this busy Christmas time.
This Christmas surprise people with gifts of Christmas decorations that you made your self. You will have to ask some one in your family to get you the following things:
Chart Paper-white and red 2. Colored craft paper 3. Silver and Gold paper 4. A packet of Sequins 5. Glue Stic 6. A piece of decoration wire 7. A black sketch pen 8. gold thread
For the rest you could borrow a pair of scissors, some cotton from a cotton roll, A dinner plate( metal or melamine) .
Angel
Take the chart paper and draw out a circle using the plate for the shape. Mark the center of the circle using a scale. Draw 2 lines as shown in diagram 1. Cut out the small piece of the circle using your scissors Diagram 2. Next roll the paper circle into a cone as shown is in diagram 3. Fold the gold paper into four as shown in diagram 4, on one side draw out the wing and cut it out, when you open out the paper you will have four wings.
Stick them back to back so you will have one pair of wings with both sides shinning gold. Keep this aside and stick the cone with the silver sheet, trim off the extra silver paper after you have completely covered the cone. Now cut out a smaller circle using a bottle cap , the circle should be a t least 2 inches in diameter. Draw in all the details as shown in diagram colour it using your crayons as I have shown in the photograph or you could paint it also.
Make the halo with some remaining part of the gold paper as shown in diagram. Fold the gold paper into a narrow strip and join the ends as shown in diagram 6. Make the wand with a piece of the remaining chart paper and stick on the tip a star from the remaining gold paper, as shown in diagram 7. You can use your imagination to stick the sequins with the glue. Stick the face to the body about an inch below the tip , use a piece of cello tape to keep it firm.
Cut out a hand as shown in diagram 8. and colour it the same colour as the body. Stick the wand to the inner part of the hand and stick the hand to the body. Your angel is ready! Add a piece of string to the top and use as tree decorations, make the angels in different colors and staple them to a red ribbon and use as hanging decorations, use your imagination and make a difference.
Santa Clause
In the same way make a cone in red for the Santa, cut the cotton into thin strips as shown in photo and stick it to the collar, the robe and to the top of the cone to make the cap. Cut out a small piece of white paper for the face of the Santa. Draw the face, color it and stick to the top of the cone as shown in the photograph. Attach a string to the top of the cone and use as a christmas tree decoration.
Try to make as many people as you can, happy this Christmas and have a very Happy Christmas.
