Cosmar-2007 (International Consortium of Students of Management Research), concluded on Thursday with prizes being given away to research students who presented the best papers during the two-day event.
In all, 32 technical papers were presented by students doing their doctoral degree in management. The event was organised by Department of Management Studies, IISc. The first prize was jointly bagged by V Vijayalaksmi from IIT, Mumbai, and Hippu Salk Kristle Nathan from IGIDR, Mumbai, for their papers, ‘The impact of emotional contagion on team effectiveness’ and ‘An alternative approach to measure HDI’ respectively.
The second prize was awarded to Subhash Subramanian, SBM, Prashantinilayam for his paper, ‘What are the stylized facts of the Sensex’.
The third prize was bagged by Vinita Yadav, MDI, Gurgaon, for the paper, ‘Flexible global software development (GSD): Factors affecting success in the requirements analysis phase’.
Ms Yadav said the seminar provided her an opportunity to present original research work and acquire inputs from experts. Prizes were presented by Prof J Srinivasan, chairman, Division of Mechanical Sciences, IISc.
