The expert committee constituted by the State government for reviewing the identification of posts for providing reservations to disabled persons, would be submitting its report within two weeks, said Advocate General  B V Acharya.
AG made a submission before the HC Division Bench hearing a PIL filed by the Federation of Blind Teachers, seeking consideration for the posts of Primary School teachers. He sought for time till the expert committee report is out and acted upon.
Blind barred
The petitioners have challenged the Education department’s July 2007 notifications for recruitment of primary school teachers which had barred visually impaired from applying.
They have contended that visually impaired persons are entitled for reservation.
