Lokayukta SP M P Palvin took the officials to task for not distributing the sewing machines to the beneficiaries even after one year of its purchase.
Speaking during his visit to the town panchayat, he said “the projects meant for the poor should not be misused.” Town Panchayat Officer informed that beneficiaries will be identified as soon the elected representatives come to power.
He also directed the Town Panchayat officer Nanjundaiah to rectify the problem of drinking water in the BCM hostel and to use a high quality pump sets for the supply of drinking water.
He later visited M G M Hospital and urged the authorities to pay attention to the cleanliness in the hospital. He also directed the DHO to appoint doctors to the hospital. 
Seeing the scanning machine unused owing to the shortage of technicians, SP said that he will bring the matter to the notice of the government.
