Maestro turned back over petty issue
Pune, pti:

When Sitar maestro, Pandit  Ravi Shankar accompanied by his daughter Anoushka, checked in a starred hotel in western Pune on Thursday, one more customer booked in the same suit followed his footsteps.
The third guest booked in the musician’s name was his pet dog, who had become a ‘bone of contention’ for another hotel in the eastern part of the city which earlier refused to accommodate the canine companion of Ravi Shankar, who is scheduled to perform for charity here on Saturday.
According to sources in the hotel Pandit Ravi Shankar’s accommodation had been duly booked with them but when it was known that a pet too was to come , an objection was raised.
“Our rules for the guests do not allow accommodation of pets. When this was communicated, the booking for the party was cancelled”, a duty officer of the hotel said on Thursday.
The dog followed the master who chose to stay in a more “accommodative” hotel  that had no inhibitions about the four legged guest in its premises.
