Bal Bhavan of Cubbon Park will be full of chirping children this weekend (December 15 and 16) from 10 am to 6 pm. As many as 40 organisations in the City have come together to conduct Namma Jathre, aimed at allowing children to show their best of their creativity.
Children as well as elders of NGOs will perform cultural programmes and various other activities including adventure. Visiting children can too participate in all the programmes. There are going to be some competitions too.
Free toys
The organisers are also planning to distribute free books and toys to children at the Jathre. Those who are willing to donate toys, books and other tinklets at free of cost or pay-as-you-please stall and be volunteers helping with activities for children, are welcome.
The entry is free. In November last, similar Jathre was conducted which witnessed more than 7,000 people attending it.
