All are welcome to join the Congress. But the party cannot assure tickets to contest in the coming election to them, said KPCC President Mallikharjuna Kharge on Friday.
Speaking to reporters after laying the foundation stone for construction of second floor of the Congress Bhavan on Queen’s road in Bangalore, he said anybody who believes in the party’s ideology can join it. But the decision to give tickets will be taken by the high command. Only deserving candidates will be given tickets, he added.
The Congress has constituted a committee to probe the scams during JD(S)-BJP Government. Once information is available, demand will be made for a thorough investigation, he stated, adding that the party will launch the II phase of Janandolana Yatra to create awareness about the misdeeds of the JD(S)-led Government, on December 17.
