The Vintage Wolseleys, Lanchesters, Dodges and Harley Davidsons once used by maharajas and industrialists will once again zip through the City on December 15, as part of State Bank of India (SBI) Vintage and Classic Car Rendezvous.
Nearly 60 cars and 15 motorcycles of the bygone era will be on display at SBI premises on St Mark’s Road before it will pass through the main thoroughfares of the City, with a few pitstops on the way.
It is being held as part of SBI’s Home and Car Loan Festival. The oldest car to take part will be a 1909 Wolseley, previously owned by Maharaja of Cooch Behar. Oldest bike is a 1934 model Harley Davidson.
The festival will feature many builders and car dealers who will set up stalls and receive bookings on December 14 and 15.
SBI will also offer special rebates in interest rates and processing charges. Builders and car dealers also have special offers for those who book during the two-day event.
The vintage cars and bikes will be on display from 9 am before the rally is flagged off, and will return to SBI at 1.30. They will be on display till late evening.
