Two died
Kolar Gold Fields, dhns: In two separate incidents two people have died in KGF on Friday. Narasimhamurty (23) a resident of the city and a habitual drinker from past four years use to regularly quarrel with his parents. Due to the heavy consumption poisonous liquor he fell ill and was admitted to hospital. Failing the treatment he died.
Harish (23) a driver in private bus and a resident of Swaranakuppam was pouring kerosene to burning stove when it exploded and he severely injured. Though he was admitted to the hospital he succumbed to the injuries. A case has been registered at Robertsonpet police station and SI Ashok Kumar is investigating the case.
Eye check
Kolar, dhns: A Eye check camp has been organised by the NSS wing of the Kolar’s Adarsha college in Shingondalli village as part of their on going programme on December 16.
Doctors from Kolar’s Shankar Nethralaya will treat the patients, said Adarsha college Principal S K Kalam who appealed to the people to make good use of the camp.
Transport adalat
Chikkaballapur, dhns: The district transport authority will hold a transport adalat in the deputy commissioner’s office, at 11 am on December 19, according to a press release issued by the transport authority, the release said. Deputy commissioner Subodh Yadav will preside over the adalat.
