In a new twist to actor Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal Khan’s custody, his father Tahir Hussain, on Saturday, withdrew the application from a local court seeking custody of his allegedly mentally unstable younger son.
Faisal was produced in the Bandra Metropolitan court in October after his mother, Zeenat, had lodged a missing complaint with the police. She had alleged that he was mentally unstable and had vanished from the house without informing anyone.
“Tahir told the court on Saturday that he did not want his son Faisal’s custody and Aamir can have the custody. Tahir said Faisal had not been in contact with him from the last 15 days,” Faisal’s advocate S A Wasid said.
The court had allowed Faisal to stay with his father for a month after Tahir sought custody. After a month, Faisal had to get himself examined at the J J hospital and submit the report on Saturday.
The case has been adjourned for further hearing to December 17.
