Karnataka’s left-arm spinner KP Appanna and top-order batsman Manish Pandey have been included in India under-19 squad for the South African tour in January next year and in the 30 probables for the under-19 World Cup to be held in Malaysia in February.
The duo was also part of the side that toured Sri Lanka earlier this year.
Delhi’s Virat Kohli was named captain of the 16-member team while Saurashtra’s Ravinder Jadeja will be Kohli’s deputy in the tour.
The team, which will leave on December 30, will play a tri-angular series featuring South Africa and Bangladesh in addition to the two three-day matches.
The selection panel led by Sanjeev Sharma took into account performance of the players in various domestic tournaments before announcing the probables at the Cricket Centre, the headquarters of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
