Three students were injured in a blast while conducting an experiment at the laboratory of Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy near Lal Bagh on Saturday afternoon.
According to the assistant secretary to the college Aziz Ahmed, the incident occurred at 2.30 pm when PhD scholars Roopa Pai and Vivek Yadav, and M Pharma student Uday Sharma were conducting experiments on tissues using an apparatus.
The apparatus has a compressor with coolants. While experimenting on some tissues, the compressor suddenly exploded injuring the three of them.
They were soon rushed to the Bangalore Hospital. While Roopa Pai and Uday Sharma are still recovering at the Hospital, Vivek Yadav was later shifted to St John’s Hospital.
