Two people, including a woman, were killed in separate accidents in Bangalore on Sunday. Manjula (30) was killed on the spot after she rammed her two-wheeler into a car at Yelahanka.
In the second accident at Sriramapura, Shekhar (34), a pedestrian, was fatally knocked down by the Tamil Nadu state-owned bus.
House burgled
Miscreants broke open the main door of a software engineer’s house in Tambuchettypalya in K R Puram police station limits and decamped with Rs 30,000 cash and other valuables on Saturday evening.
Jyothi Prakash in his complaint has stated, the incident took place when he was away at his relative's place.
In a similar incident in Benaganahalli, Byapanahalli police station limits, culprits made away with Rs 10,000 cash and lakhs of rupees worth valuables from Narayanamma's house.
Robbers in police net
Five persons were arrested in connection with the robbery in a NRI's house in Koramangala.
The five accused, posing as BSNL employees, had gained entry into the NRI's house in 4th Block, 12th Main, threatened the housekeepers and made away with valuables, Rs 10,000 cash, foreign currency and SUV vehicle.
Bangalore South East DCP had formed five teams to nab the culprits.
The police team nabbed all the accused from their hideout in Tamil Nadu and recovered foreign currency and the SUV. The arrested are Jairaj, Kumendran, Suryaprakash, Jaykumar and John.
