A good samaritan saved a family from Delhi being cheated by a taxi driver.
Dr Bikash Kumar Das, a retired commando and a practising doctor in the City, helped the family, which had hired a taxi at the airport on Saturday. Instead of taking them to the hotel in Gandhinagar, the driver had driven the family around the city for nearly two hours. When the family protested, the driver kicked up a row. Dr Das, who intervened, took the driver to the Indiranagar police station. However, the police left the driver, who did not have licence or identity proof, with just a warning.
