The Lions, chasing 156 for victory, could manage only 143/8 as a late onslaught by Andrew Hall (30) and Sarabjit Singh (27) failed to save them at the Tau Devi Lal stadium.
The winning team got richer by Rs 3.9 crore while the runners-up pocketed Rs 1.9 crore.
Shabbir sent back opener Hamish Marshall (3), Dinesh Mongia (21) and Chetan Sharma in successive deliveries to complete his hat-trick.
Earlier, a quick-fire 33 by Law helped the Superstars put up a fighting total on the board.
Meanwhile, Marvan Atapattu’s 75 powered Delhi Jets to a five-wicket win over Kolkata Tigers in the third-place play-off.
