Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Sunday said he is ready to face investigation from any agency on the allegations made by the BJP and the Congress leaders on various decisions taken by him during his 20 months tenure as the CM.
Addressing reporters in Bangalore after visiting various temples in Bangalore on his 49th birthday, he challenged leaders of both parties to give all information, if they really have, against him to the Governor and the President of India and demand for investigation. “Allegations should not be made without details and just to mislead people. If you have information, demand for a proper investigation,” he stated.
Kumaraswamy trained his guns not only against the BJP and the Congress, but the breakaway Prakash camp.
He sarcastically asked BJP’s B S Yeddyurappa why he was so desperate to become the CM with the support of the “corrupt party like the JD(S)?.” “He (Yeddyurappa) should make it clear how he would have fought corruption as the CM with the support of the corrupt party,” he added.
He also took a dig at the Congress for constituting a fact finding committee to gather information on the “misdeeds” of the Kumaraswamy-led Government.
On the allegation made by breakaway leader M P Prakash that there was no internal democracy and decisions are taken unilaterally in the JD(S), the former CM said some leaders find no problem with the party if it is in power. Once it is out of power, they start finding flaws, he said, claiming that members are given maximum freedom in the party.
