Hansgrohe AG, one of the leading global brands in bathroom fittings and showers, opened its new overseas subsidiary, Hansgrohe India Private Limited in Pune. The new company will be managed by Nicholas Matten as Managing Director.
While speaking to Deccan Herald, Mr Matten said that the new subsidiary unit will be adequately staffed to provide additional support in marketing Hansgrohe’s products in India. “The permanent presence of Hansgrohe employees in India will help in developing the market ” he added. Hansgrohe entered Indian market in 1999, in co-operation with Jaguar& Company ltd.
“Both Jaguar and Hansgrohe have been collaborating very successfully and jointly have developed a significant market position in India. Eventhough, we have set up our facility, we will continue with that strong relationship and will go forward with the same retail wing,” Mr Matten said.The Rs 150 crore worth Indian sanitary industry is expected to grow at a rate of 30-40 per cent per annum, he added.
Incidentally, the company held a roadshow at the Grand Ashok, on Monday, to show case their new and latest products. The featured items include the Hansgrove economic range—the complete bathroom accessories at a price range of Rs 18,000 to 45,000 and the large head showers— the raindance range. The rain showers vary from 7 inches to 24 inches diameter, at a price range of Rs 18,000 to 2,40,000.
