They said the honourarium to the anganwadi workers and assistants has been over due for the past four months. Other demands included hiking of reimbursement of other expenses from Rs 50 to Rs 100 and not to assign any other duties which are not related to their department.
The protestors threatened that they will delay the submission of monthly report, Sthree Shakthi Sangha report besides not to extend their service to the Pulse Polio programme, if the demands are not fulfiled by December 20.
The copies of the demands have been sent to Deputy Commissioner, Deputy Director of Women and Child Welfare department.
Association President Pushpa Kumari, State leader Leelavathi among others lead the protest.
