A Krishi Mela was organised jointly by Mudigere, Kannapura and Pattaduru units at State Bank of Mysore premises.
SBM Hassan zonal unit manager Shamsunder speaking after inaugurated the mela said the Mudigere unit has provided Rs 20 crore agricultural loan and has secured the second place in the district. The margin of 5 per cent on all agricultural loans will be given up and about 50 per cent of the processing fee will also be cut on agricultural loans. Loans will be sanction on the basis of guidelines for eligibility to avail agricultural loans and loans will be given on tractors and other farm equipment.
Loans will be provided for small and very small irrigation projects, drip irrigation, horticulture crops, loans on gold for farmers under Swarna Mitra Project, Suvarna Gramodaya through Kissan Gold General Credit Card and SBM card facility, apart from loans on poultry farming, small dairies and farm products warehouse bills, he informed.
Mudigere unit manager Lakshminarayan said for the welfare of farmers, the bank has adopted farsighted farmers’ projects. On the occasion, loan amount of Rs 35,85,000 was distributed to farmers and SHGs.
