SJC technical institution retired principal H S Ningappa said on Monday that life becomes fruitful only when every moment whether it is of pain or joy is savoured to the hilt.

He was speaking after inaugurating the District Government Retired Employees Day and said only when one clearly understands that nothing in this world belongs to us can one lead a life of peace and contentment.

The retired persons should not have the feeling that life has no meaning after retirement. To lead a happy life one should involve in several activities, said Kolar District retired employees association honourary president B S Somashekaraiah. Working president K M Venkatswamy said through creative activities, retired employees can always be active. Chikkaballapur District Retired Employees Association president V M Shanker and others spoke.
