The bundh which was called on Sunday against the alleged remarks of former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy against Siddaganga Seer Sri Shivakumar Swamiji was total in the taluk.
Several organisations such as Basavasene, leaders of Veerashaiva community, former Member of Legislative Assembly M D Lakshminarayana and activists of Bharatiya Janatha Party took part in the bundh.
The protesters raised slogans against former Chief Minister Kumaraswamy.
BJP State Parishat’s Araleekere Shivaiah, Naveen Babu of Basavasene, Dombaranahalli Basavaraju, Machenahalli Ramanna, Araleekere Ravi and other leaders were also present in the bundh.
