Another loss for DYSS

Department of Youth Services and Sports’ disastrous Super Division league campaign hit another low as they suffered another defeat, going down 4-0 against Karnataka State Police at the Bangalore Football Stadium here on Monday.

DYSS have only one draw while losing 12 matches so far and are facing relegation. The lone draw came against against Royals, who had withdrawn midway through the league.

On the other hand, KSP have 27 points with a match in hand against BEML (EM).

Cops shot into the lead in the fourth minute through Arun Kumar before Santosh Kumar added one more to the scoreline in the 26th minute. Second half goals from Girish (48th) and Archan (67th) helped Cops pocket the full complement of three points.

Rail Wheel Factory routed Nationals 5-0 in an ‘A’ Division tie. Umashankar (56th, 70th) scored a brace while Sugandhar (38th), Prakash (68th) and Lokesh (80th) were on target once each for winners.

Tuesday’s matches: ‘A’ Division: Government Press vs Sri Gajanana, 1.45 pm; Super Division: BEML (EM) vs BEL, 3.45 pm.
