A group of candidates who had appeared for the KAS examination 2006, have urged the Governor to cancel the provisional selection list, while alleging that the Karnataka Public Service Committee had indulged in large-scale irregularities in awarding marks during the personality tests.
In a MoU submitted to Governor Rameshwar Thakur, the candidates, under the banner of “Distressed Candidates of KPSC Gazetted Probationer Exams-2006”, requested him to intervene in the matter to give justice to the meritorious candidates.
The petitioners alleged that in every category, the candidates who had topped in the written exams were given less than 100 marks in the personality test.
