Legislative Council Chairman B K Chandrashekar on Monday said he would again write to the Union Home Ministry to modify the proclamation order dissolving the State Legislature so that the Upper House can be convened at a convenient time.

Talking to reporters in Bangalore, Prof Chandrashekar said the  Legislative Council - like the Rajya Sabha - is a permanent legislative body, not subject to dissolution by any authority under the Constitution.
