Residents of the Lalpet area in Madhugiri protested at TMC office alleging poor supply of water in their area.

Though we had good rains this time and there is an increase in groundwater level, we have not been supplied water regularly as a result their is now scarcity of water, alleged people.The residents are facing acute shortage of water from past one week.

There is no proper water supply system, alleged people who said that problem is aggravated by the negligence and apathy of the officials.

Accusing the officials of deliberately creating a scarcity, people said that the panel board of the pumphouse which supplies water to the Lalpet area is in good condition.

Demanding a immediate action and regular supply of water, residents threatened to lead a intense agitation if their demands are not met.

The protest was lead by Lalpet area’s Nagaraj, G N Rangappa, Gurumurtiappa, Narasimhamurty and Ramesh.

Many citizens including women were seen protesting.
