Boy injured in accident

 A school student’s both legs were crushed when he was hit by a KSRTC bus on Monday near Pichhahalli gate on the outskirts of the city.

Prithviraj, a class 8th student of the Bethamangala Rural School has been severely injured in the mishap.

He is a resident of Pichhahalli and his parents work as daily wage labourers.

He was heading towards his school as usual, when he was hit  by a KSRTC bus which was speeding towards Velur from KGF.

His legs were crushed in the accident and he has been admitted in the Kolar Jalappa Hospital. Enraged public staged a rasta roko and demanded compensation to the boy’s family. They also demanded that speed breakers be created in the school zone, inorder to avert such incidents in the future. KGF Depo Manager Naveen Kumar gave Rs 5,000 to the family on the spot  and also assured the public that their demands would be met.
