Christmas fest by MMCA

Mangalore Musical and Cultural Association (MMCA) will be organising a Christmas fest on December 23 at Gitanjali.

According to a press release, there will be competitions in written quiz, sketch and line drawing, painting, fancy dress, instrumental solo and group and ‘songs of the season (solo, duet and group) in various categories like kindergarten, lower primary, primary, higher primary, high school, PUC/ collegiate, seniors and senior citizens.

Registration should be submitted at Gitanjali on or before December 20 between 5 pm and 6 pm.

Toy showroom to open today

The world of fun toys, a toy showroom will be inaugurated at Empire mall in M G Road, Mangalore on December 20.  Addressing a press meet on Wednesday, Abhineet Gupta said the toy store has been developed keeping in mind the needs of a child. Adequate space is provided for the children, so that they can run around freely.

Children are allowed to play with the toys before buying it.  Mr Gupta said that in future, the store will also function as ‘teddy hospital’ where any child can bring his/her ‘ailing’ teddy with ‘torn’ nose or an ear and get the teddy ‘cured’.
