'Provide guidance to prevent farmer suicides'

By providing proper guidance and advise we can prevent the farmers from committing suicide, said Nabard Karnataka Regional office Chief General Manager D B Gore.

Speaking after inaugurating the guidance programme for the members of Farmers Club in Madikeri on Wednesday, Mr Gore said that there is a need to instil confidence in the farmers who are unable to pay the loan.

As many as 67 farmers have taken part in the programme. Nabard Madikeri branch AGM A L Kulakarni, Nabard Bangalore branch AGM K M Sharma spoke.
