The drive to collect photographs of ration card holders of various sections of the society was initiated in the taluk on Monday, said tahsildar C N Sridhar.

He informed that in all the villages in the taluk, on the scheduled date, those above 12 years who have their names mentioned in the ration cards can appear with the temporary ration cards and rectify the mistakes in name, age or address in the computer while photographs are taken.

The drive will continue in the taluk till January 12. For information regarding the programme, public can contact the village accountants’ office in the gram panchayat.  In Mudigere Town Panchayat, dates for organising the drive have been announced wardwise.

On December 18, the drive for ward 1 will be held at Government Girls’ Higher Primary School, for ward 2, the drive will be held at MLA’s Model School on December 31, for ward 3, the venue will be Urdu School on December 29, for ward 4, 5, 19  and 20, the venue will be Girls PU College.

 For ward 6, the venue is Community Hall Maidan on December 31, for ward 7, the venue is Girl’s School on December 26, for ward 8, the venue is Community Hall Maidan on January 1, for ward 10, the venue is St Marthus School, Mudigere on January 1 and for ward 11, the venue is St Marthus School on December 31. On all these scheduled dates, photographs will be taken from morning 9 am to 5 pm, he informed.
