Celebrity piano recital
Gary Goldschneider from the USA will be performing at a celebrity poano recital on December 20 at 7.30 pm at Alliance Francaise, Thimmaiah Road, Vasanth Nagar. Gary Goldschneider took to classical music at the age of seven, with great teachers at the Curtis Institute, but also enjoys playing jazz. He is also a composer with great works to his credit. He is a specialist in works of Schubert, Beethoven, Mozart and Bach, while Liszt, Chopin, Bartok and Handel are close to his heart, but Schubert remains his favourite. A much feted and recognized musician, he has countless recordings to his credit.

Photography exhibition
Drishti School of Photography has organised and exhibition of photographs at at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat from December 21 to 23.

This exhibition being Drishti's fifth, exhibits the works of students of the six-months professional course to the outside world. Drishti also holds future plans of such exhibitions throughout the country.

History of Malleshwaram
The Malleshwaram Senior Citizen Forum, Malleshwaram proposes to bring out a 'History of Malleshwaram'. Information is solicited from various heritage institutions which are over 75 years old. All interested persons are requested to furnish available particulars to S K Mohan, Vice president of the Forum, 8th Cross, 4th Main, Gandhi Sahitya Sangha, Malleshwaram.

Photo salon
Youth Photographic Society (YPS) is conducting the 29th All India Salon of Photography.  The exhibition of the award winning pictures will be held from the December 21 to 25 at Varna Art Gallery, III Floor, Kannada Bhavan, J C Road, Bangalore. This year’s exhibition had received about 2350 entries from nearly 230 various photo-artists.  Photographers from Jammu, Midnapur participated in this salon.  For the first time, a photographer from Jammu has participated in our salon. 

The panel of jury consisted of B Srinivasa, H Satish, H V Praveen Kumar, Anil Risal Sings (from Lucknow) and A G Laximinaraya (from Sagar).
