Education outlay doubled  
With targets to universalise secondary education and reduce drop outs, the 11th Plan, which was approved on Wednesday, increased the allocation for the education sector twice that of the 10th Plan.
XI Plan: NDC okays 9 pc growth rate  
The National Development Council (NDC), on Wednesday unanimously endorsed the Eleventh plan (2007-2012) setting a target of annual nine per cent growth rate during the plan period with enhanced focus on "inclusive growth" and emphasis on agriculture and social sectors.
