Thanks to great performances by K Samson (17 points), Mahesh (14) and Srisumanth (14), the host State were able to crush the challenge from MP. Karnataka were leading 29-20 at half-time.
In the girls quarterfinals, Chandigarh defeated Rajasthan 30-25, while Punjab edged past Chattisgarh 36-34. Maharashtra defeated Tamil Nadu 31-9 in the third quarterfinal.
