On the second day of the raids by the Lokayukta police at the premises of 13 government officers in the State, the sleuths discovered that Dr V Chandrashekhar, IAS, has bank accounts worth Rs 44 lakh, in his wife, father-in-law and mother-in-law’s names in eight different banks, in the City.
The amount has been seized. Meanwhile, Motor Vehicle Inspector, Bijapur, Manje Gowda, who was absconding when his house was raided, appeared before the investigating officer, Lokayukta police on Thursday afternoon.
“He is not co-operating and if he continues to do so, we may have to take him into custody,” said a source.
