Nowadays, old age homes are creeping up as grown-up children are reluctant to look after their parents who are responsible for their existence. Sadly, the Union government is also contemplating a rule with regard to this. The movie focuses on the saga of love between the couple Harish Raj (Vishnuvardhan) and Nandini (Jayaprada).
One more name joins the list of woman directors in the industry i.e., Vijayalakshmi Singh. Probably, she couldn’t have ‘adapted’ a better story for her first film as a director. Though it has nothing new to offer, it will not join the list of ordinary films as the performance of the characters is appealing. Kudos to Saahasa Simha; no doubt this will remain one of his best films in his career.
The felicitation scene is probably one of the best. Charming Jayaprada too has done well, barring the fact that she hasn’t dubbed her voice.
It’s family melodrama which revolves around Harish’s family and the suffering he undergoes after he stays away from his ‘second mother’ as he himself calls her in the movie. Challenging Star Darshan has done justice to his role. Anant Nag who plays the role of Ugra Narayana Ullagaddi provides much needed humour through his Hubli-style Kannada. Mano Murthy has scored good music keeping in mind all section of audience.
But, the song Ade Bhoomi, Ade Banu overshines all other songs as it contains meaningful lyrics and a soothing tune.
As a debutant director, Vijayalakshmi Singh has done the good work barring the fact that its’s not her own creation. If you are sensitive you might shed tears here and there, overall it’s a movie for the whole family.
