Students Federation of India has urged the state government to conduct the Common EntranceTest (CET) for two days instead of one day in the interest of the students.
Federation has criticised the State government decision to limit the test to single day. It has accused the government of heeding to the wishes of private institutions and said that the decision is deterring the rural students in pursuing their education.
Federation has urged government to reschedule the test to 2 days and asked it to reduce the already hiked CET fee.
Apply govt fee
CET centres should be established in each taluk, seats should be shared in 75:25 ration and fee prevalent in Government Engineering and Medical colleges should made applicable to private institutions also, urged Students Federation of India’s member Kagati Nagarajappa who suggested that more government Engineering and Medical colleges should established to help poor students.
He said that a memorandum regarding this has been given to the Governor.
CET comprises of four test on different topics. It is not only strenuous but also unscientific to conduct the tests on the same, said suggested Kagati
Nagarajappa who warned the government of state wide protest if their demand are not met.
