Sanskrit elocution contest

‘All India Sanskrit Elocution Contest,’ a unique competition for students of institutions of higher learning in Sanskrit is being held for the first time in the City. It is being organised by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi with assistance from Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha, Bangalore. The three-day event being held at Poornaprajna Samshodhana Mandiram on Katriguppa Main Road will be inaugurated on Dec 26 and conclude on Dec 28.

Dutch artistes

Three rising stars from The Netherlands are coming to town for an evening of enchanting classics.
Mireille Heijltjes, Lisanne Soeterbroek and Stephanie Steiner will be performing in a concert on December 28 and 30 in Bangalore.
On December 28, they will enchant music lovers at Chowdiah Memorial Hall and on  December 30 at Visalakshi Mantap at the Art of Living International Centre.        The performance will begin at 6:30 pm on both the days.
The event  is presented by the Art of Living and World Alliance for Youth Empowerment (WAYE). The trio will be performing in Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi and Kolkata also.
