Akhila Bharathiya Rashtriya Shaikshika Mahasangha, Bangalore, will organise a three-day all India-level workshop for teachers at Sanghaniketan in the City from December 26.
Addressing press persons here on Tuesday, MLC Capt Ganesh Karnik said a total of 250 selected teachers from about 18 states would take part in the ‘Akhila Bharathiya Abhyasavarga’.
The necessity of organised works among teachers, the present status of education and its future, the role of teachers in social change, their duties in nation building and such other topics will be discussed during the conference.
He said the teacher was a base of the entire education system and hence only when he became the true admirer of values, the great entity of education could survive.
The teachers who participate in the workshop are supposed to conduct similar programmes in their states keeping the noble intention alive, Capt Karnik added.
Nitte Education Trust Chairman N Vinay Hegde will inaugurate the conference, which will be presided over by the Shaikshika Mahasangha President K Narahari.
MAHE former vice-chancellor Dr B M Hegde, Mahasangha General Secretary Mahendra Kumar and Organising Secretary M Mukundarao Kulakarni will be present.
Vice-chancellors, educationists and MLCs representing education field will be the resource persons in the workshop that will conclude on December 28.
