An independent media-rights group have charged that a television crew, attached to a French television channel, have been arrested by the Sri Lankan Security Forces for videotaping a military roadblock in southern Galle district on Monday evening.
Condemning the arrest and detention of the journalists, the Free Media Movement (FMM), in a statement on Tuesday, said that the TV crew, comprising of woman journalist Capucine Henri and cameraman C Siomon of France’s 24-hour news channel, were filming a Tamil family visiting their detained relatives in Boosa prison.
