These and more such jokes were heard at ‘Hasyotsava’, organised by Koravanji Aparanji Trust at H N Kalakshetra here on Tuesday. It was a non-stop laughing session for the audience.
Inaugurating the programme, MLC Chandrashekhar Kambar said he and Mr Poornachandra Tejaswi met 19 ministers with regards to a Kannada software. “All ministers posed for photographers, but none did anything for Kannada.”
Hiremagalur Kannan, known as ‘Kannada Pujari’, recited shlokas in Kannada which had the audience in a fit of laughter.
Writer H R Shankaranarayana, who has written humour articles related to legal profession, was felicitated.
His felicitation address ran thus. “Shankaranarayana, being a doctor has written many humour articles. With that, he has not done justice to his profession as a doctor. He is being felicitated for his crime and the court asks him to pen at least two collections of humour articles in a year as punishment.”
