Civic welcome for seer in Mangalore
Paryaya crisis only difference of opinion: Puthige seer
DH News Service,Mangalore:
The value of Indian culture, tradition, values and heritage is known only when we go to other nations where people revere and respect us for our culture,

“Paryaya crisis is only a difference of opinion, which will discussed and settled. There is certainly no room for any hatred in this issue,” said Puthige seer Sugunendratheertha Swamiji accepting a civic welcome in Mangalore on Wednesday.
The Swamiji was brought in an elaborate procession from Sharau Temple in a traditional fashion to Ramana Pai Convention Centre where a ‘Tulabahara’ ceremony of Swamji was held using coins.
Swamiji thus ended his ‘vishwa sanchara’ undertaking ‘Sri Krishna Bhakti Prachar’ as a part of Prayaya spanning over two years.
He said that when difference of opinion crops up between parents, it is the children who try to solve it. Likewise, when difference of opinion crops up between the Gurus, the Shishyas or devotees must take up the role of solving the matter.
Swamiji said that he started his Vishwa Sanchara two years ago and travelled extensively in 80 cities of USA and 20 countries including Middle East countries, Jordon and Canada.
He commenced touring India about 6 months ago and started Karnataka Sanchara two months ago.
Sharing his experiences of the tours, he said that the only conclusion he draws from his entourage is that his own motherland is the best.
“The value of something is known only when one goes away from it.
The value of Indian culture, tradition, values and heritage is known only when we go to other nations where people revere and respect us for our culture,” he said.
Speaking about Hinduism itself, he said that if there is a democratic religion in this world then it is only Hinduism as it gives its followers the freedom of thinking.
Elaborating on it, he said that in the Geetha, Lord Krishna never asked Arjuna to wage a war, instead he asked him to think and then take action on his will.
“Krishna is a god who could have had ordered his devotee but he does not do so. This is the freedom that Hinduism gives,” he said and added that Indians need to showcase to the world this liberal mindset that our culture stands for.
Plans
Calling it ‘Hakkina Paryaya’ (Rightful paryaya), Sugunendratheertha Swamiji said that he has named his third Paryaya as ‘Vishwa shanthi Paryaya’ and on ascending to Paryayapeetha, he would take up beautification of Udupi city along with construction of dining hall to ensure better Annadana in the Kshethra, Shree Krishna Nyayalaya and Vishwa Yathri Nivas. A ‘Vajra ratha’ (diamond chariot) for Lord Balakrishna, ‘Vajra kavacha’ for Lord Mukhyaprana and Vishwaroopa Darshana are some of the other plans.
