Literary meet

EasyLib.com, the online library is hosting a 'Meet The Author' session with writer Swapna Dutta for children above 8 years. Swapna will be reading from some of her popular books such as Teddy comes to Stay, Stories from Mythology, and Chik chik and Mulmul.  Swapna has been writing for the last four decades and has more than 40 titles to her credit. Some of the popular titles of hers are - The Juneli series, the Teddy series and A Dog named Rocky. The event is on December 29 from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Call 41102231.

Nandhi Utsav

The Nandhi Bharathanatya Kalasala is celebrating Nandhi Utsav on December 29 from 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm at the Gurunanak Bhavan, off Queens Road behind Sri Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital. The Nandhi Utsav is an annual celebration to give a platform for budding artists. This year is the 13th year of celebrating the Utsav.

The celebration will be featuring many budding  artists who will showcase their talents and will also be featuring founder of the Nandhi Bharathanatya kalasala Natya Kala Bhushanam Guru Geethalakshmi, Kalashree Chennakeshava (vocalist), Kalashree Thangavelu (mridangam), Kalashree Ashwathanarayana (flute) and Vidwan Shankar Raman (veena).

Print exhibition

An exhibtion of framed prints - 19th Century hand coloured wood engravings with accompanying text, published in England by a Christian Society, featuring animals, birds and fish - will be on display and sale up to January 4 at Ambara, 119 A Mudaliar Road (beside Foto Flash) Ulsoor lake.
