The Karnataka Congress election in-charge Zaidi arrived in Bangalore on Wednesday night, said party sources.
His arrival comes in the backdrop of the Congress party taking its time to decide the names of those who would be in charge of the assembly elections in four districts, including Bangalore.
His arrival is seen as a signal of the Congress party finally pulling up its socks and deciding the names of the election in-charges in the four districts, said sources.
Along with Zaidi, Buta Singh — chairman of the National SC Welfare Commission — also arrived in the City.
He is scheduled to attend a function on Thursday, the sources added.
