Gujarat tightened the noose around Madhya Pradesh after skittling the central zone team for a paltry 93 runs in their first innings on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Plate League semifinal here on Wednesday.
Gujarat, who made 192 in their first essay, were 98 for two, a total lead of 187 with eight second innings wickets intact at the close of the day’s play.
It was a disastrous batting performance from Madhya Pradesh with as many as eight of their batsmen failing to reach double figures.
A Singh, who took four wickets, was the pick of the Gujarat bowlers on a day which saw 11 wickets fall.
